2024 Commencement On Saturday, May 18, 2024, Louisburg College held its 2024 Commencement Ceremony, celebrating its graduating sophomores with the conferring of their degrees. Family, friends, faculty, and staff came to watch the 106 graduating sophomores turn their tassels.

Louisburg College's Class of 2024 included 86 Associate of Arts in General College, 12 Associate of Science in Business, and 7 Associate of Science in General Science graduates. This year, LC also celebrated its first Graduate for Associate of Sports Science. The degree was added early this year as part of five (5) new degree programs.

This year’s Commencement featured speeches from Student Speaker Raul Nunez III and Louisburg Alum Judge James Floyd Ammons Jr.

On Friday, May 17, 2024, Commencement weekend kicked off with the Annual Graduate Breakfast in Duke Dining Hall. The breakfast, catered by Louisburg College's Dining Service Chartwells, featured a variety of breakfast and brunch foods. Students, faculty, staff, and family ate together while conversing and reflecting on their time at Louisburg.

Students heard kind words from Dean Maleeka Love, Alitha Palich, Rev. Amanda Bunce, Registrar Tanya Barnes-Jones, and student speaker Ayinde Taylor II. Afterward, the group took a class photo before heading to Baccalaureate.

The annual Baccalaureate Ceremony took place at the Louisburg United Methodist Church. Friends, family, faculty, and staff celebrated the achievements of the Class of '24 as students received honors cords and stoles and heard encouraging words from Rev. Michael Alston. Pastor Alston preached a message of persistence and learning from setbacks.

Congratulations to all of our wonderful graduates and, as always, Roll 'Canes!
